This is how this outfit would look if it were steampunk.
This free dress from Junbug would be cute with some torn accessories for a she-urt, or a happy and cute but dirty peasant. However, when I saw it, my first thought was cute steampunk. Moar oil stains and metal! Unfortunately, when I dug through my inventory for bronze gears accessories and things, there was literally nothing. I fail, I'm sorry!

News ~ << Discord >> Closing!

Sad news! The crazy awesome sim << Discord >> will be closing on January 5th, according to my semi-reliable sources *coughserenitycough*. The sim is full of stores by Japanese creators, most of which won't exist when Discord closes. There's clothes, shoes, hair, skins, everything... but my favorite part is - of course! - the fantasy section! (I also like the little weapons section)

I haven't seen anything over 99L. You should check it out and see if there's anything there that you can't live without, in case the sim goes capoot!

I'm strongly opposed to making myself a men's set of skin and shapes and whatnots, so you'll just have to deal with me cross-dressing! But isn't that outfit stunning? There's also a girl's freebie sold by ARIMAN, which looks similar but is less bulky and blue. Grab that here. In fact, ARIMAN has a lot of nice silks, all nicely priced. I hope they get an inworld store open soon! Digging through the marketplace has been fun, but it doesn't compare to in world exploring.

I found this awesome kilt on the marketplace, and it led me to a pretty cool store on the grid that has a lucky chair and a couple MMs to hit up.
The bow is AWESOME and FREE! I didn't know where I'd gotten it, and spent almost an hour going in circles on the grid until it occurred to me to check the marketplace. I'm glad I did - because Sandy Sage has a couple other free RP weapons!

Sorry, a lot of that other stuff isn't free anymore. :(!
However! May's Soul, Phoenix & Firefall, Caverna Obscura, and MADesigns all have lots of gifts still available like those ones. These dirty, dirty silks are actually very awesomely made, and well worth the whole one linden. AND they're not the set you can steal! There's also a gorgeous blue and vivid green silk set for 1L each! For some reason I like the dirty ones the most though. I hope that's not indicative of anything.

I've been eyeing the Margaret gowns among others at Knickknack, so when I saw this one was on sale I jumped on it. The textures are absolutely stunning.

Also, that hair is a beautiful free gift from Analog Dog... and comes with a variety of hairbases to go with! Right next to this gift is also a fatpack of hairbases in a variety of colors... and they're MOD!!!!1 Meaning, they can be tinted to match almost any hair color you've got. A lot of my hair looks pretty bad without a hairbase, and I haven't been able to find a good fatpack of moddable hairbases yet, so this is by far my favorite christmas gift from SL! OK so board changes!

In the left board, Anariel in Purple, Arleccina, Gypsy, Hydromancer, and Green Shroomie were taken out. The Drow Priestess set and Eowyn Gown from last time are still in. And theeese were added!

A note on these boards:
These boards do NOT change item when the timer runs out - it just changes letter!
The boards only change items if someone wins something.
The boards do not change randomly - they go in a specific order!
This info comes in handy. Since they go in a specific order, you can time when you go to camp if you only need an item or two. Also, if it's late and there's not many people there, you can keep certain boards up and not flip them, so that you can have a better chance of that item going to your letter when the timer runs out.


Also don't forget to grab the December group gift hiding in the freebie boxes on the same platform as the lucky boards for some Christmas-y accessories!

The outfits free at Everwind are done by (I think) Fantasia of Fantasia & Elements, who are absolutely amazing. (Are they one store? Two stores? Peanut butter and jelly? If I'm being honest... no idea) I could've guessed it was them when I first put it on and saw the beautiful, unique design and delicious textures. I stared at that dress for ten minutes before thinking I should maybe take a picture, heh. It's now moved to a permanent spot in my inventory, in my RP dresses folder! Yaaay!

I like how their advert pictures are so amazing, too. They're gorgeous and artsy, but show you perfectly what you're buying, but doesn't exaggerate the beauty of their gowns at all!

Also, not exactly fantasy, but The White Armory also put out free male and female old-fashioned ice skates in their new Fantasy Ice Ballroom! Just take the red teleporter up when you TP in, and run into the warm lil cabin ~

The realm of Mystara, by the way, is a gorgeous sim. I wandered around forever with my little observer tag and took a thousand pictures ~ most of which I wasn't in, heh ~ and had to take great pains to avoid the many RPers. It looks like a promising Fantasy RP realm, and it's been added to my LM folder for places to have one of my lil fantasies. ~

While traveling the grid today in search of more fantasy roleplay stores to add to the directory, I found a few random freebies I thought I'd share! This post'll show you some cool freebies from House of Alcott, Fire Horse, and Trident.

Not much coverage there on that one, but then again that makes a good silk set. Also, these silks were made for GUYS! (Yum!) In fact, one of the cool things I noticed about both House of Alcott/Damian's Desires and Fire Horse is that the majority of outfits and things there were made for guys. I definitely approve; we need more fantasy and roleplay gear for the male population! Amongst the men's fantasy outfits at Fire Horse though, I spotted two boxes for a white Roman-style toga - one for guys, one for girls. Here's the girl's one ~

I love my fantasy as much as the next nerd, but when it comes to my Gorean RP, I am very By-The-Books. One of my pet peeves is Free Women who do not dress or act like it. I know a lot of outfitters don't make clothes more conservative than a tavern wench, but there are options, girls!
In fact, the best and most amazing option - to simply add a touch of modesty and elegance to your favorite outfits - is an easy and FREE option!

Of course, the level of modesty required in free women varies from town to town - some don't care if you're slave-like if you're a peasant, some don't require headscarves, some require even more bulk to hide your figure, some don't allow you to go outside alone if you're higher caste, etc - most do agree on these things: Non-see-through face veils, covered torsos and arms, and hidden legs.
