Freebies ~ RP Realm Gifts!

Newbies these days are SPOILED! Spoiled, I tell you! Back in my day, we wore freebie dungeon non flexi MS paint wings and bling eyeballs and system skirts, and RPed uphill both ways!
No, but seriously. I've been digging through a lot of RP realms lately and I've noticed they all set out a lot of freebies that are actually very nice! I took the boxes of freebs half expecting to be blinded as soon as I rezzed the box to open it (the freebie dungeons scarred me), but I was very wrong, and I'm very glad I was! Here's a couple of things I've found so far that I love: ~

The outfits free at Everwind are done by (I think) Fantasia of Fantasia & Elements, who are absolutely amazing. (Are they one store? Two stores? Peanut butter and jelly? If I'm being honest... no idea) I could've guessed it was them when I first put it on and saw the beautiful, unique design and delicious textures. I stared at that dress for ten minutes before thinking I should maybe take a picture, heh. It's now moved to a permanent spot in my inventory, in my RP dresses folder! Yaaay!

I'm not sure why I'm a dark-haired faerie drow, but lets go with it. I feel preettyyy, oh soo preettyyy! Elvenbreath is also going to be holding another color-specific 50% off sale this next week, on RED this time! It's not up yet, but I'll post when it is!

You can't tell really well from the pictures, but the eyes I'm wearing in these pics are different from what I normally wear. They're freebies from the amazing Ibanez Eyes, which can be found under the christmas tree at Evie's Closet! Ibanez Eyes is one of the best ~ especially for fantasy ~ eye stores on the grid. My, was Everwind pretty. I didn't get to take a long look before I crashed to death - might've been shadow's fault, alas - but it looked amazing. One more RP sim added to my LM folder! Also, go to Tekeli-li and visit the Hollow Earth. Everyone needs to go at least once. It's one of my favorite places to go and just... sit. It's so interesting.

I like how their advert pictures are so amazing, too. They're gorgeous and artsy, but show you perfectly what you're buying, but doesn't exaggerate the beauty of their gowns at all!

Also, not exactly fantasy, but The White Armory also put out free male and female old-fashioned ice skates in their new Fantasy Ice Ballroom! Just take the red teleporter up when you TP in, and run into the warm lil cabin ~

The realm of Mystara, by the way, is a gorgeous sim. I wandered around forever with my little observer tag and took a thousand pictures ~ most of which I wasn't in, heh ~ and had to take great pains to avoid the many RPers. It looks like a promising Fantasy RP realm, and it's been added to my LM folder for places to have one of my lil fantasies. ~

While traveling the grid today in search of more fantasy roleplay stores to add to the directory, I found a few random freebies I thought I'd share! This post'll show you some cool freebies from House of Alcott, Fire Horse, and Trident.

Not much coverage there on that one, but then again that makes a good silk set. Also, these silks were made for GUYS! (Yum!) In fact, one of the cool things I noticed about both House of Alcott/Damian's Desires and Fire Horse is that the majority of outfits and things there were made for guys. I definitely approve; we need more fantasy and roleplay gear for the male population! Amongst the men's fantasy outfits at Fire Horse though, I spotted two boxes for a white Roman-style toga - one for guys, one for girls. Here's the girl's one ~

At the House of Alcott in front of the nearly naked man cutout wearing the free pearl silks you'll find two boxes set to 0L - one with the bath, the other with the tower. As you can see, they're gorgeous!

I logged in this morning to an AWESOME surprise from one of my favorite stores, !** Arwen's Creations **!

I love my fantasy as much as the next nerd, but when it comes to my Gorean RP, I am very By-The-Books. One of my pet peeves is Free Women who do not dress or act like it. I know a lot of outfitters don't make clothes more conservative than a tavern wench, but there are options, girls!
In fact, the best and most amazing option - to simply add a touch of modesty and elegance to your favorite outfits - is an easy and FREE option!

Of course, the level of modesty required in free women varies from town to town - some don't care if you're slave-like if you're a peasant, some don't require headscarves, some require even more bulk to hide your figure, some don't allow you to go outside alone if you're higher caste, etc - most do agree on these things: Non-see-through face veils, covered torsos and arms, and hidden legs.
